What's for Dinner?

Thursday Jackson comes home from work and ask's "you guys want to catch some chickens?" Too bad I'm prego or I would have totally been all over that! j/k . The kids were so excited though. Anyway, Jackson usually goes and catches some chickens for his dad's father and son outing for their Stake and this time invited us to go watch. I must say it was pretty funny. Kenzie totally talked the talk until she got there and didn't want anything to do with the chickens because she was afraid they would peck her. Kade and Skyler were totally into it and Kade actually caught one all by himself. We were so proud and he was too of course. Kade was sad though when we had to give them to grandpa and said "I want to keep my chicken." The one in the picture is the one Kade caught. Don't let Kenzie fool you, she just took the picture for my sake but was totally terrified.

Kade holding his catch
Skyler wanting some holding time too, but dad close by just in case!

Kenzie and her fake smile. She was so afraid that the chicken would come loose and peck at her.

Gina...congratulations on #4! Do you know what you're having? Or are you choosing to be surprised? I bet Kenzie's wanting a girl this time around! Chickens totally creep me out, so tell Kenzie it's okay. :)

I prefer chickens a little more "prepared". I am all for "fresh" but that is taking it to a new extreme.
